      • Ion Colour Flash is a contemporary, vibrant, semi–permanent gel hair colour that allows hair to be temporarily transformed in a flash! From all–over intense colour to subtle pastel tones or dip–dye, unleash your creativity and give your clients the bold colour results they crave with Ion Colour Flash gel.

Specially formulated with panthenol and soya protein, these active ingredients help to nourish, condition and protect the hair against damage, leaving hair beautifully soft and bursting with radiant colour.

For all over coverage, we recommend using half a bottle for short hair and a full bottle for long hair. The colour intensity will depend on the base hair colour and development time. To obtain a pastel tone, mix your chosen Colour Flash shade with Colour Flash Crystal Clear. We recommend carrying out a strand test to determine the colour ratio and development time required to achieve the desired result. The colour duration will vary according to the base hair colour and characteristics, and will gradually fade with shampooing.

      • "Terrible"07 August 2016 Professional review by Eilidh Yule

      • "i used the ultra indigo shade on lightened dark blonde hair and left the dye in for the full 20 minutes. while the dye was in my hair it looked as though the colour was going to be really dark purple and be really pigmented but as soon as i rinsed it out, literally all the colour washed away leaving my hair the colour it was before application. i thought that maybe because my hair was a darker colour than recommended that maybe it woud work better leaving the colour in for longer, so i tried again and left the colour in for 30 minutes and still no results. a week later i decided that maybe it was just because my hair was extremely clean so tried it on 2 day old hair and this time left the dye on for over an hour, after rinsing the colour was there but it was patchy and only stuck to the ends of my hair leaving random purple streaks everywhere else, and even this colour washed out partly after 1 wash. waste of money."Would you recommend it? : No

      • "Used ultra indigo on my daughters natural light blonde hair. Left it on 20 minutes and when she rinsed she was left with purple skin and grubby looking blonde hair that wasn't indigo in the slightest. Absolute waste of money."Would you recommend it? : No

      • "I've been dying my (naturally very dark) hair red for years. I lift / tint the roots with L-88, but use Chaotic Crimson on the rest of it. It comes out a beautiful blood red and lasts FAR longer than most semi-permanent bright colours. The only downside? Makes a bit more of a mess of the bathroom..."Would you recommend it? : Yes
      • "Good Until You Need To Remove It."01 June 2013 by Lucy

      • "I used this dye after bleaching my hair blonde, it originally came out a nice powder blue and each week i dyed it slowly got brighter. The only problems were when it faded it faded to a nasty dull blue colour and when i tried to remove the dye it would not budge. The lady in Sally's recommended using Effasor, which is L'oreals equivalent to ColourB4, this worked great on the virgin hair near the roots but left my midlengths and ends a dark grey.
Dyed over it with Crazy Colour Deep Purple and this was good until after 2 days it turned blue again, and yes, i am aware that purple dyes are blue based. Since then i've also bleached it twice in hope of removing the blue, once with 40vol (12%) and once with 30vol (9%) neither worked. If anything my hair is now a brighter blue than before. Do not use this dye unless you are prepared to pay £40+ to get rid of it, it would actually turn out cheaper to go and see a hairdresser."
