Important Safeguards: When using this electrical appliance, especially when children are present, basic safety precautions should always be observed.

• This appliance can be used by children from aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• Use this appliance only for its intended purpose.
• Do not use with a voltage converter. Danger! Electric shock due to damage to appliance.
• Do not operate the appliance with a broken cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in anyway.
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the work surface or let it touch any hot surfaces.

Warning: Do not use this appliance near bathtubs, showers, basins or other vessels containing water.

• To protect against risk of electrical shock, never immerse the unit or let it come into contact with water or any other liquids. Do not use the unit with wet hands. If the appliance should become wet, damp or fall in water, remove plug from mains socket immediately. Do not put your hands in the water.
• When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the appliance is switched off.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device (RDC) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask for installer for advice. The installation of the appliance and its use must however comply with the standards in force in your country.
